17 years this exhibition calls together «under one roof» of leading producers, traders, the design, construction, assembly organizations and profile specialists of the electrical equipment market of Ukraine and of the whole world. 500 participants from 15 countries were presented. At stands it was possible to see, examine and get the last profitable and power efficient decisions of branch. Development engineering, technologies in the field of electrical equipment, systems of electric and power supply, energy saving, cable and conduction production and lighting engineering.
The interested representatives of the industrial enterprises, the construction and assembly organizations, design institutes examined of Public Joint-Stock Company «Odeskabel» production, received information materials and could ask personally questions to specialists of «Trading House Odeskabel» and the producers presented at the stand. The nomenclature, terms of delivery, qualities and the price – not one visitor didn’t remain unsatisfied. The novelties of Public Joint-Stock Company «Odeskabel» aroused interest by experts. It is multipair LAN cables in different execution, heating cables for electroheating, anti-frosting systems, power flexible heat-resistant shielded inline cables on voltage of 1,14 kV, power voltage cables of 220 kV, control and power cables LTx.

Mariupol Sea Port buys cable for twice the price but from domestic producer
State enterprise «Mariupol Sea Trading Port » on July according to the results of the tender has signed an agreement with Azov Business Alliance LLC for the purchase of cables worth of 10 million UAH.
It is reported in the «Journal of Public Procurement”, writes ”Nashi Groshy”.
The tender was attended by several companies. Trade House of Odessa Cable Factory Odeskabel LLC offered 4 million 820 thousand UAH. However, half of the price of the offer was rejected because of the differences in the names of products in the offer and in tender specifications as well as failure to provide warranty information.
Azov Business Alliance Mariupol LLC with authorised share capital of 16,5 thousand UAH was registered under the name of Nikita Goshy. Since July 2011 the Company has been regularly winning tenders of Mariupol Sea Port, having received contracts for 35 million 710 thousand UAH.

Codelco considers the cost of copper remain high
Online edition RusCable.ru, informs that the international price of copper in this year is likely to remain high despite exposure to market volatility. It was announced by Chief Financial Officer of the National Copper Corporation Codelco, Thomas Keller, writes Dow Jones News.
We are optimistic about the long-term prospects for copper prices, «- he said, adding that the copper market instability is mostly influenced by events in Europe. Let us remember in the last days the price of copper fell to a four-month minimum, however, have not crossed the mark of $ 3.50 per one pound ($ 7,717 per 1 t). This fall Keller also refers to the expected destabilization, reports IMS «Metal Supply and Sales».
Keller has confirmed company’s announcement that the copper market fundamentals remain stable besides demand for the metal so far outruns supply.
As for Codelco production volume of this year, Keller repeated the prediction of the Executive Director of the company Diego Hernandez who assumed that Codelco up to 2012 is likely to reduce the volume of production in comparison with the previous year by 2% to 1.7 million tonnes. Let us remember in 2011, the company exceeded its plan in production of copper and produced 1,735,000 million tons.
Meanwhile, it is Hernandes who at present has been taking part in an international conference in Miami which was also expected to meet the Executive Director of Anglo American, Cynthia Carroll.
As it was mentioned Anglo American and Codelco now has been litigating a controversy on what part of the copper mining complex of Anglo American in Chile Codelco can buy. In particular, Anglo American confirms that Codelco has the right to buy only 24.5% of the share fraction of the complex considering the fact that the same share has bought Japanese Mitsubishi before.
Meanwhile Codelco claims to 49% of the complex. To pay for the package the company signed a deal of $ 6.75 billion with Mitsui.
The largest copper assets Anglo American is composed of copper mines Los Bronces and El Soldado, Chagres plant and two recently discovered copper mines — Los Bronces Sur and Los Sufaltos. While Los Bronces, bordering on one of the units of Codelco has received $ 2.8 billion for the development of the mine.
The major in the cable business contracts were signed by Siemens and Prysmian Companies
According to the online edition PROkabel, Prysmian Group Company which occupies a leading position in the cable market and cabling systems for telecommunications and energy purposes market, has signed a contract for record amount of about 800 million for the development and production of cables for the large-scale Western HVDC Link project.
This project calls for construction of a new high voltage direct current underwater system between England and Scotland. Nowadays this is the largest and the most expensive order in the cable business.
Siemens has also signed a contract valued at sum of 1 billion pounds that implies construction of the first power transmission underwater system between England and Scotland, the power of the new system — 2.2 thousand MW. The network will run from Hunterston located in the county of Ayrshire, Scotland, to the Wirral Peninsula in Cheshire, England.
The whole process of the global project will be a consortium of Prysmian and Siemens responsible for HVDC converter stations. The total amount of the construction performance contract signed by a consortium of Prysmian and Siemens joint venture with Scottish Power Transmission and National Grid Electricity Transmission — NGET / SPT Upgrades Ltd comprises € 1.1 billion.
This new submarine cable will be put into service by the end of 2015, will operate at full capacity in 2016. The construction of a new submarine cable is of strategic importance for modernization of the British power grid as far as it will allow the UK to implement a program aimed at reducing the amount of hydrocarbons and industry development of alternative, renewable energy.
This project has been a record not only regarding the cost of the order and the contract signed but also through the use of new technologies of cable industry. At the record voltage level the system will operate with minimal losses but this power has never been used for long-haul main lines.
The purpose of the construction of a new cable line is the connection of renewable energy sources located in Scotland with the electric energy consumption centers in England; bidirectional transmission capacity is also possible. The advantage of the construction of an underwater cable lies in the short terms of the project implementation.
Innovative technology developed by Prysmian involves the use of cables with multi-ply paper-propylene insulation with enhanced thermal and electrical characteristics. Company has got such a profitable order due to its irresistible competence in the production of high quality cables as well as great experience in this area.
Length of the new cable system which connects England and Scotland is 400 miles, underwater part will go through the Irish Sea.
